Wedding Recap: More Wedding Party

The Bridesmaid - Told By Emily

Sarah is my wonderful big sister! I couldn't think of a better person to fit the role of my MOH. Sarah and I are complete opposites and that makes for a perfect BFF. Although growing up we have had our fair share of fights, she is still the best big sister a girl could ask for. She will tell you that I constantly picked on her and that is true! But, it was all out of love and admiration. Although I wish she lived closer, we still remain very close sisters and friends. I wish I could be half the woman she is. She is very smart and caring.

Laura and I have been the best of friends since the 6th grade. We have done it all from catching the school bus together and learning to drive to attending prom and now graduating college & the grown up jobs. We even lived in identical houses as backdoor neighbors. She is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She is a very talented actor and I can proudly say that I have seen all of her plays! I don't know what I would have done without her all these years. She has truly been a gift from God to me!

Lindsay is one of my best friends from college. She and I met through some friends in our 2nd year. Although she did ten times the activities I did on campus, we still enjoyed our college years at campus events. We were roommates when Mr. Forrest and I started dating. I would have to say she played a big role in the picking out of date outfits and the proper wording of texts and messages. She also does a mean impression of Tyler! ;) Lindsay is such a caring person and will always be there whenever you need her. My college years would not have been the same without her.

Marly and I met in Accounting class at UTC. Although initially I was intimidated by her, I couldn't help but love her! We very quickly became Human Resources buddies. For the next year we had several classes together. She and I were study buddies for a number of tests. I couldn't have passed a few tests without her! Marly is currently living in Knoxville and I miss her and our wonderful talks. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met.
Caitlin and I go way back to the days of the nursery at Christ Church. Not only are we best friends but so are our moms! Caitlin and I have more inside jokes than the average set of friends. So many of our memories involve practical jokes and lots of laughter. We roomed together every year at church camp. We even had a sleepover on her trampoline one night! No matter how long it's been since we have seen each other we are still the best of friends.

Jessica and I sat next to each other in gym class our sophomore year in high school. While trying to survive the dreaded gym class we came the best of friends. Although she attended MTSU we still remained close friends. Jessica is the queen of basement parties. She has been kind enough to host several basement parties with Laura and I that always involved Papa John's pizza, diet Cherry Cokes, and Birthday Cake ice cream. She and I have shared many girl talks at Starbucks, one of our favorite places. She might be short but she has got a lot of spunk!

The Groomsmen - Told By Tyler
Andrew and I have shared some of the most interesting and exciting times together. As similar as Andrew and I are our paths never really crossed until the later junior high years, but when they did, we became the best of friends. We have traveled to every Presidential Library in the United States together, which is a great point of pride for us. Our high school years brought to us a mowing business we built together, a great deal of political functions we attended, and even a Presidential Inauguration that we had the opportunity to attend. Although our college years have taken us separate places, Andrew has truly remained one of the best friends I will ever have.

Chief, which is a name I gave Aaron in high school, has truly been one of the best friends anyone could ever have. Although in many ways he and I are polar opposites, we have remained wonderful friends for many years. Chief and I first met in the mother’s day out program at Keith Church in Athens. Since then, we have gone to pre-school, elementary, junior high and high school together. Along with Andrew Sharpe, we have made many crazy road trips throughout the North American continent. Throughout the college years, we have faithfully spoken to each other at least once a week on the phone and have continued to remain fishing buddies.

Zach is nothing less than quite the character! The first time I met Zach was when I interned for the Bob Corker for the Senate campaign in Chattanooga my freshman year at UTC. Zach, who ended up becoming the dynamo intern of the Corker campaign, was not someone that I originally took much of a liking to. By the end of the campaign, though, we had become great friends. That friendship turned into us being roommates for three years in a not so lovely Chattanooga apartment. We are two very different individuals, but we share many similarities, especially in the area of finances. Together, we fully intend on becoming two of the most successful individuals in the State of Tennessee!

Daniel is that guy that I would have never thought I would have been one of my good friends. Surprisingly, he is one of my best friends! Daniel and I go back to our freshman year at UTC together. We were both trying to make a name for ourselves at UTC, especially in Student Government. I would like to think we have both been rather successful with it! Daniel has graciously stood by my side as my closest advisor, much more intelligent opinion, and Chief of Staff. Together, we make a dynamo political team. There is not a doubt in my mind that the day I announce my candidacy for Governor of Tennessee, Daniel Hunley will be close by strategizing and making sure I don’t make any mistakes!

Jeff, who I always refer to as Mr. Bogue, is one outstanding guy! I first met Mr. Bogue when I was serving as an SGA Senator and he was elected Vice President of the UTC Freshman Senate. Ever since then, we have been the best of friends. I can confidently say Jeff Bogue has been the biggest Tyler Forrest supporter for the longest amount of time. He has been that guy that pumps me up when things are not going so great, that always appears at the right time, and will do anything in the world for you. I owe a lot of my success in recent years to two individuals, one being Daniel Hunley and the other being Jeff Bogue.

Out of all the individuals I could have chosen to be a groomsman in my wedding, Matt Tanzi was the obvious choice. I have known Matt longer than any of my other best friends. We became neighbors at age two and have been great friends ever since. There are probably not two individuals on this Earth that are more opposite than Matt and I, but I think that is what makes us such great friends. He likes baseball, I like politics; he likes gambling, I like saving; he likes most everything that I don’t and I like pretty much everything he doesn’t. Although we have our differences and we have survived many family vacations together, many backyard fort disasters, and many fights over the craziest things.
