Iron Skillet Apple Pie

This is the easiest apple pie you will ever make. And, I dare say it is the best too!

5 - 6 apples (depending on size)
1 cup of sugar
2 tsp apple pie spice
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
Prepackaged pie crust

Slice & peel the apples (I forgot to in this picture.) Coat them in the sugar and pie spice. Set aside.

Melt the stick of butter in a iron skillet with the brown sugar until completely dissolved.

Place the crust on top of the melted butter in the skillet.

Put the apples in the crust. Cover with the second crust. Pinch the sides to close the edges. Cut slits on the top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
